Just joined, and wouldn't you know it, something pops up with my oscar!

heres a pic, it kinda looks like he is shedding a few scales at first b/c there were only 2 spots, but Today there is more. It is in the same shape as scales, and can only be scene in certain light and angles. If you know what I mean by that lol

Just tested the water last night, everything was perfect, am going to do water change tomorrow.

Is your fish a glass banger or jumper? Looks like a bit of a scrape. Clean water should take care of that.

Yup, I see scrapes and bangs but nothing to worry about. As stated.. clean water.

Go do a water change - the solution to pollution is dilution.

Seconded... Thirded? Those look like scrapes. Clean water and they'll heal up in no time.

He can get violent sometimes lol with his decor. But I'll try to get more pics tomorrow, I've seen him scrapes b4.

nervous that it could be fungus or something, due to its translucentNess of it, and the way it is circular as if it were a scale.

Heres another shot, doesn't really show it from this angle.

If it's kind of translucent and looks like a scale, it's honestly probably a scale. If you are worried try and get a closer/clearer picture. A video would help to see it from different angles.

That said, my sev has gotten a similar thing and yes, it was indeed a scale she'd knocked loose. I'd assume a scrape for now, so just do some daily large w/cs to aid with healing. If it gets worse, or shows no sign of improvement then it might be something else.

Ok, that's what I thought, but since becoming a member here, I'm beginning to get paranoid. Lol

Just scales missing from a clash with something in the tank. Have you got any sharp driftwood, rocks or ornaments that may be a problem, maybe post some photos.

hi there

1. bro, that is one good looking tiger.
2. does not look sick or what.
3. maintain good water parameters and monitor the tiger.
4. btw, sharp and clear shot on the tiger.

Thanks, I think a light color on the bottom of the tank really helps show off an Oscars color.
