DedZefyr created the topic: Fish Medication Basket?

Hi again guys!
I have been thinking a lot about this, and I have decided that I want to make a tub that has fish medications in it, just in case something happens and I'm not able to make it to my work to pick something up in an emergency.
I only have freshwater tanks, and I've got a few ideas of things I could add and I've started making a list that I can pick up wednesday but all I've got so far is:
Prime
Stability
Super Ick Cure
Melafix
Pimafix
Aquarium salt
Water testing kit
Any ideas of other things to add?

Prime and the test kit. Skip the rest. Our resident fish Doc, Rocksor, would be the guy to assist with meds. Mela and Pima are too mild to deal with serious probs.

Epsom salt, pure unscented, is a good thing to have on hand. Usually the first thing to try with possible digestive, or parasite problem.

We sell API's "aquarium salt" which is Epsom salt.

medication all depends on the ph of your aquarium.

Besides Epsom salt, I would also keep picking salt and Seachem paraguard. I personally find melafix and pimafix useless.

Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate, which is not the same as the API Aquarium salt. If you read API's website API Aquarium Salt is made from evaporated sea water, essentially sodium chloride and some other minerals that exist in sea water.
