According to the information I got rooibos tea is quite healthy for fish. I've added about 500grams of aquarium salt and 80 rooibos rea bags in my tank. The tank is 317 US gal big

The main reason why I added salt and rooibos is because the one oscar fight with the other 3 and then he try to attack the Giant gourami. The moment when the GG get upset that oscar is always getting bitten by the GG, he always end up second. To fight a 60cm big GG(Gekkie) is not a good idea.

Two of my oscars, Breakfast and Bekkie is currently under quarantine because they've got some fin rot because of all the fighting. Stootskraper and Albie must also go under quarantine because of fin rot. These oscars fight way to much and they are in a 1200 liter tank.

I started to use Seachem Kanaplex today for the oscars under quarantine.

any picture of the damage?
there are times we may thought fin rot as the result of fighting...
but sometimes, it is not... fighting normally result in body scrape
and lost of some scales... but not fin rot...

just hoping all oscars in quarantine recovers soon

Currently the photos will be so unclear because off the amount of rooibos tea bags in the tank.

The main tank is 317 Us gallon big with 80 rooibos teabags, some aquarium salt and Seachem Paraguard with Seachem Stress Guard.

Albie the lemon oscar is also under quarantine now as she is the worst. It looks like someone ripped her dorsal fins apart and the damage fins is definitely rotting. The pectoral fins looks the same. I first thought it was white spot but it isn't. I know white spot well to identify it in time.

you should try using stress coat fish and water conditioner it's basically just water conditioner with aloe vera in it you have to use a bit more obvious than your normal water conditioner but it works very well her stress level down on the fish which is one of the main reasons for Finrot other than poor water conditions. It also helps with healing damaged fins I actually use stress coat as my regular water conditioner. always best thing to do water changes water changes water changes.
