never feed feeder fish they are full of diseases and parasites if you want to feed live food thing like earthworms grasshoppers or mealworms are a better choice

a full grown oscar can probable go for 2 months without food before starving however if your going on vacation or something like that a week or two is as far as you're going to want to push it (if its a baby no more than a week)

They can go without eating in the following size range, obviously the larger they are, the more food stores they have.

Between 2-4 inches about 7-10days with the temp in the high 70s. Between 6-8 inches about 3-4 weeks with the temp in the high 70s.

X2 never give feeder fish. The conditions these feeders are bred and kept in are for lack a a better word nasty!! My O gets live food as a treat once in awhile. Crickets, red wiglers and super worms are some of his favorites. These won't pass on parrisites or diseases to your fish. Freeze dried krill are good also( great for using liquid vitamins)
