Hi, hope is well.... So my fishless cycle is about finish and after a couple of months research online and this site I'll be heading out to buy my first Oscar. One question though, Frozen Brine/shrimp should it be thawed before feeding?

Yes, I think it's a good idea to thaw the food out first. Oscars love shrimp and it's very healthy. I use a small ashtray or saucer filled with a little warm water to defrost the shrimp. And then it's just a case of pouring the contents into the tank.

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

i had been feeding all my fish with semi frozen fish foods... fresh frozen ...
thawed for few , then throw them in the tank... i've been doing it for more than 10 years...
and i don't see any effect on my fish... at first, i thought fish could suffer frostbite or brainfreeze
but so far... i have not seen any dead fish yet LOL!

the only difference in our situation is that i am in the tropics wherein water and outside is always warm
