One question: How do you teach an arowana to eat pellets?

Show me an arapaima that's 15' I'd love to see it. Most I've seen are around the 5-6' mark.

As for getting aro's on pellets, starve em out, just like any other fish you're changing diets on. My two smaller ones started out on pellets, my bigger one is slowly getting used to them, but has been starting to take them occasionally.

Actually, it is in the past. I got it from River Monsters and some books. Now, the biggest caught in the 21st century was from Jakub Vagner. He caught a 10 feet 1 inch long arapaima. Check natgeotv.com/ca/fish-warrior/galleries/amazon-giant/1 and natgeotv.com/ca/fish-warrior/videos/huge-arapaima .

And while we're talking about big fish, lets talk about indeterminate growth. Given enough longevity and a steady food supply, goldfish could reach 15' long.

I'm not saying that a 15' arapaima is impossible, just extremely unlikely.

Don't forget space. They could have a stunt growth.

Like I said, right conditions, good food source, etc they could get monstrous. I know the ones in Asia that are considered invasive are getting very large simply because they've got no predators to keep them in check.
