Yea, but really, he got rocked by one of those fish, so I completely understand him being gun shy about getting up close with another one

Actually, Jeremy had been rammed in the chest by a 6 feet 170 lb. arapaima. It is the equivalent to a car crash. check animal.discovery.com/videos/river-monsters-rammed-by-an-arapaima.html .
