good you have at least a good base to make some money and unload some fish you know

and yeah never rush but the planning part is fun for me to be honest and the set up I love working on fishtanks !!

that's exactly where I'm at, the wife told me I only get one chance with discus if I kill them I'm done. I'm making damn sure the tank is sorted out before I bring the discus home. They are why I'm choosing to forgo co2 injection and stick to excel dosing, too many stories of shit going wrong and gassing fish

I respectfully disagree w/ the Angels being OK to be kept w/ Discus statement. They are more aggressive @ feeding time & will out-compete Discus for food. Usually when you see Discus kept w/ Angels their(Discus) vertical bars are showing/prominent, which is an indicator of stress. I know people do it, just not recommended. Most breeders of Discus will agrre w/ this one. No offense, BK, just experience.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

no offense taken, my info is from a local breeder who has breed angels and discus for a while. I'm gonna give it a go but I also have a 30g for the angels just in case

I guess sometimes like Oscars ect its trial and error. As long as a back up plan is in place.

I will stick to discus only I think.

Fishguy66 what do you feed them ?

Haku, I knew your were good.
