You will have better luck parent raising if you left a dim light on, some angelfish will freak out and eat there eggs at night

eating them is not the issue, but they don't seem to be fertile at all, this batch also is turning white very fast. perhaps i should break the couple up and introduce another male? i still have 2 other males in my main tank

update: my new pair of angels also decided to lay eggs, they've only been in the breeder for a couple of days and allready they spawned :D

I hope this pair can actually make the eggs hatch.

yeah it's fun to watch, and when we move i'll put the cam so i can have a vision on my main tank from wherever i am :) but for now, it's pointed straight at the eggs in the angeltank.

question for big ken, is it normal for the female to chase the mae away from the eggs? she doesn't seem to allow him to care for them.

every pair is diffrent and what your seeing is common, all my pairs are very good parent raisers and will take turns gaurding and tending to the clutch. Ive seen both males and females get highly defensive of the eggs and beat the snot out of there partner. I would remove the male to another tank for his safty she will kill him if she thinks hes that much of a threat, putting in a divider can stress the one tending to the eggs to the point of eating them so if you can move him that would be best
