Angelfish prefer 6.5

The tap water is 7.4-7.6

That's one whole digit from them and I want them to be happy (If I decide on them)

The only thing I've seen online is peat moss (which stains your water)

Do you fellas change your pH for angelfish, or do you just use regular tap water?

I run a peat system made from a 15 gallon drum and a rio 32f hyper flow pump the water circulates thrugh the peat barrel constantly about a third of the flow goes through the tank and overflows back to the barrel. A modified version of what BigKen uses. Lowers my ph from mid 8 to 6.1 I get very little darkening of the water partially du to using a 25 micron filter before it goes back to the tank. No one remarked that the water looked dark in my altum post.

If your keeping just regular domestic angels your tap water its just fine no need to try and change it, you can actually do more harm to them by trying to change it if you don't know exactly what you're doing

You should focus more on nitrogen cycle issues, proper tank size, filtration, etc rather than being so consumed about PH, & we have given you that advice in more than one thread.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.
