So I have a 10 gallon planted aquarium that currently has 2 guppies, 2 black mollies, and 2 balloon mollies. I'm curious to know if I take those fish out (my neighbor is wanting to take them for her 30 gallon aquarium) can I get an angel fish to put in there? I'm only looking to get one, but I like having a cichlid theme. Any thoughts here?

This is the tank. I think it looks pretty cool, other than its a little dark. Might swap over to more of the play sand I have left from my 90 gallon tank. The only thing that stops me from doing that is my guppies look absolutly beautiful with their colors against the black.

If I could have gotten black sand, that's what I would choose, I still would like to switch but I think it would be too complicated. I personally like the black sand, it looks really nice.

10 is a little to small for a Angel fish ... but ken is the authority on it

Ok. I wasn't too sure so I figured I'd ask on here. I'll keep the fish that I have in there.

One would be ok for a little while. 20g would be optimal for a single Angelfish. If you want a cichlid theme, look into blue rams, or kribensis.

shellies are great and pretty hardy. they do reproduce like rabbits but if you leave the fry in the tank they will get consumed. you could also look at a dwarf sumbu comp. they also like the shells and will help cull the fry down.
