Hey guys, I need any and all advise on killi fish that u guys have. My friend just got 30 or so and I took some to try and breed and I get the gist of it but I need to know how to take care of the fry. They are lyretail, I know that much, and they were breeding before they were relocated.

All that I could find out about them is that they are hard to keep, don't live long and are rare to come by. That is all from three different fish stores that I've went to

I'm no expert on killifish, but they do have a short life span and are not very hardy fish. They are pretty easy to come by here in IA, but also not popular.

Ive looked into these fish alot and there are loads of great vids on youtube, they seem very similare to bettas that they are quite aggressive. Best kept in same species tank and you are good with a small group in a 30gal I think.

I know its amazing how you can get eggs and just add water to soil and they hatch.

this guys good;

Thanks for the vids, they were interesting but I know that the kind that I got dont need for the eggs to dry out then be watered again. They just lay the eggs in the moss and they fall down into the gravel and in about two to four weeks they'll hatch and you'll have a bunch of little fry
