Quick question guys :-) this is my 90gal community tank it will house 10 to 15 small fishes(mollies,dwarf gourami ect.) as you can see in the picture i have a ton of decor LOL.. if i do once a week 80% WC do i need to do gravel vac?

Very nice looking tank. I would think you would want to if for no other reason than to remove unsightly waste from the landscape.

I would just gravel vac the open areas and watch nitrates. If nitrates start rising more than normal I would do a big thorough cleaning of the substrate.

I would go with ML's advice if and only if you're tank is fully cycled before you introduce the fish, otherwise you need it, even so you'll still need it from time to time.

On the other hand my old 82 G planted never ever got a gravel vac, but i had way way more plants and a school of 15 cory. You could add some catfish in there that likes to dig, it will stir up the sand/gravel and break the poop in smaller pieces witch would be easier to decompose.

Hi poelinca: yes, except the one in the right corner, i am not done yet, planning on adding more live plants.

If it were me I would vac the open spaces weekly and once a month under the decor. Then test water weekly to make sure nitrates stay 20ppm or lower

I would do that, weekly vac open spaces and once a month under the decor vac.
