Baltimore created the topic: Question about adding fish

I finally got a bigger fish tank! :woohoo:

It's a Juwel rekord 800 (80x35x45cm -- 29 gallon).
I'm placing my fish, which are now in my 15 gallon tank, over to this tank.
My question is: If I can add one, two or a few more fishes to my new tank, but I don't really know what kind of fish would go along with my fish and if it is possible to add more fish.
I currently have:
1 Betta, 10 Cardinal tetras, 3 Kuhli loaches, 1 snail and 1 Ancistrus bristlenose pleco.

I would like to add 4-5 marbled hatchetfish, can they live well together with my fish or not?
More ideas would be great. :)

Use www.aqadvisor.com/ to give you a rough ball park. Use adult sizes of the fish for the parameters.

Nice looking tank. :)

My experience with kuhli loaches is they stay hidden most of the time.

How about some nice panda corys?

I want to add panda corys, but they are so expensive and I thought corys can't live on gravel?
If they can live on gravel can I add other corys to my fish tank?

No large hard gravel will hurt their barbells for sure so that is a no no...

and you could add the hatchet fish but BN pleco might outgrow the tank just depends on the species ..

I have this pleco, at the store they said it is an ancistrus gold albino.

(This isn't the one I have, because its hard to photograph him/her, so I googled and found this picture)

@Ehall67, Are you sure I can add 5 Marbled Hatchetfish to my new tank? Won't they fight with the Betta or the cardinal tetras?

tetras and hatchet fish are very peaceful community fish.. and if they are not nipping your bettas fins now I doubt they will ... also they are all MUCH faster than the betta your loaches and pleco will eventually be the big bio load problems in a small tank ... they are small ik but you have a lot of fish in the tank
