Ok, pretty tank... but why do people with plants assume the tank is low/no maintenance.

Little to no maintenance would be some of those tanks over on The Planted Tank....those jungles!

Btw.. You are in my area!

Yea, but $3,500?? I had plants once, they were more work than the fish!

And that's cool!! I didn't know we were around the same area!

It's free. If your close, get it. Worst case is that it's not fit to use and you throw it away. If it holds water fine, it would make a great sump.

Go do a water change - the solution to pollution is dilution.

How is this fish tank $1900?!?

It's 200 gallon acrylic... washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/hsh/4722198391.html...pretty pictures from when it was set up but their encoded dates are from 2 years before the current condition pic...

Craigslist has not gotten me a good deal yet but I'm still holding out hope. I was re-inspired to search today when I went into my LFS and there was a 3 year old beautiful red oscar with injuries who was given away because he was in an inexcusably aggressive, undersized situation (36 gallon w/ 3 rb piranha). A great deal on CL would have given me an excuse to rescue but even with a birthday on Saturday I don't think I can justify a fourth tank @ retail pricing. :(

Because 90% of people selling tanks on CL are insane maniacs.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.
