Camm created the topic: Wild caught convict!

By seeing the title of this post your probably thinking that I live in a tropical environment in America... I actually live in a cold part of Australia. I caught many of these little guys while on a fishing trip to a pondage in which is the body of water used to cool a near by coal power station. There for, the water stays 27 degrees Celsius all year round! I also caught Red Devils, Talaphia and Sciaenochromis fryeri. But I only bought one back :) There are many hybrids there too!

This is a video of someone else catching them there. :)
**Not my Video**

Heres the little guy I brought home :)

Do you live in Victoria? I heard about a place like that with all sorts of Cichlids living near the power station.

If a captive bred fish is thrown into a lake and then caught it doesnt really qualify as a wild caught fish does it  ?

They are wild caught fish for sure but they are not truly "Wild" fish no... they have to have no ancestors that have lived in captivity...
