Really nice Tom,

Are they new, or did I somehow miss when you got them?

Saturday I set up a 55 for my Salvini pair, unfortunately I found the female on the floor the next morning. It was my fault, after moving tanks, fish, and filters around I forgot to put the hood back on the new set up. i went back to the lfs and got the runner up and put her in the tank. She went in on Sunday and this is a video from today.

I am beginning to think I am cursed on trying to keep these fish. I have read that they are easy, but have not found them to be so. If this pair fails, I still have these back ups that might work out. After that, i may be done!

Hang in there Rob, such a gorgeous fish. Must be nice to just run to your lfs and grab "another" one. Lucky if anyone here can even spell Salvini let alone know what it is. And I aint found a Carpintis yet neither. I'm sure I could get one in Toronto, 8hrs round trip, couple hun in gas, and I absolutely loathe that shithole city. Patience........ blah.

Thanks man,

It was such a disappointment to find her on the floor. If the carpintis (which they are doing great) and Salvini work out I will ship you some (however many you want) if you want to split the cost. I will pm you my address, and your can see if it would be worth the expense.

Well Rob, I sure appreciate the offer, but the bs at the border, expense, paperwork, time lapse says I am never getting fish from the U.S. I have looked into getting fish from Rapps in New Jersey, and tried to figure how to get some from Tom and its MANY hundreds of dollars and then pray they arrive alive. I got a pile of holidays coming, probably bite the bullet and go to Toronto, take the family to the zoo and fish shop for a weekend.
