Dad is a little over 3" and mom is about 2.5" (I suck at the sizing thing). I was really surprised that they would breed at this size, but obviously they did. It has been amazing to watch their color and behavior over the course of this. They are great parents, changing out guarding the eggs/fry continuously. I am not sure when to try and start feeding the fry, I have Hikari first bites and frozen baby brine shrimp. The wrigglers are underneath the backside of the pot.

It is really something to see, I only wish I could capture it better.

Wrigglers are now free swimmers! Here is an update with a couple out and about looking for their first meal. Got some great tips from an experienced breeder on this site on feeding and care. You can only see a couple in the video, but if I had to guess I would say there are 75 to 100, which will way more than double my current fish stock.

Fry are doing well, and so are the parents. Dad is not to happy about the next door neighbors eying his kids.

My Carpintis fry are doing great! I am amazed that so many have made it, and how attentive the parents are. The tank is overrun by algae at the moment, but I have been hesitant to scrape it off owing to the fact that the fry appear to be feeding on it. I did add a background yesterday to keep out some of the sunlight the tank gets. Here is a video of the tank.

They look good, now all ya got to do is grow them out. How many do you think you have? If you are short on tanks rubber made tubs are good grow out containers. You may want to put nylon screen on your filter pick ups to keep the little ones out of the impeller.
