Hello, just wondering if someone on here would be able to sex my jack dempsey for me? He/she is still very young but some nice colours are starting to come through. I have a picture of it to help sex it. Thanks

Blue bearding is a the sign of a female, and the closest you will get to figuring out a female Dempsey from physical appearance. At 4" it will be easier to sex.

Blue in the cheek area is a dead give-away for females, but I have seen & owned males w/ lots of blue in the cheek & the body....spectacular fish.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.
