This is some footage of my second water change with the new fish. the first one was pretty easy, but I have reason to believe that it is not going to be that way for long.

awww it took until the third video before he nabbed you, looks alot like my discus, they'll also come nibble at my fingers, tho the bite can't be compared to this beast's bite.
loving the attitude of this monster, my fish tend to hide as soon as something they don't know enters the water. only the jag will come and study it and then go back to her business of moving my gravel around.

Too bad he has such attitude, does make tank cleaning hard. Very nice looking though.

Go do a water change - the solution to pollution is dilution.

Can't really say the bites hurt, but they are definitely more than a nibble.

The really amazing thing about this fish, is there was no hiding, sulking, or skittishness. From the moment he was released,he owned the tank There is no question in my mind that this fish is one that can not reside with anything else.

That's a Piebald color-morph Midas....& he's STRONG in The Dark Side......waddya mean "Send it to Jack"....LOL...if I had room for him, I would take him, but he's pretty awesome, Rob. I would keep him...like Norm said, just get an extension, & get a long handled algae scraper.

And no, you will not be able to have anything in there. He'll kill it. That's his tank now.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

Jack, I just thought you might enjoy this fishes outgoing personality. The comment about a tank mate was a joke, I would never put another fish into a tank that I am barely willing to put my hand in, besides last time I checked barracuda are still salt water fish. :P I appreciate the id, so you think this fish is full midas and not a hybrid?
