Guys/gals would this work long term
150 gal
Hrp 3 to 3.5 inches
Green phantom pleco 4ish inches
Spotted rapheal 3.5 inches
Vieja heterospilus 1.5 to 2 inches
Vieja a regentea 2 to 2.5 inches

Could this work out or would the argentea eventually go on a killing spree ?

I would move dory to the 55 with the sd's and eventually upgrade to either a 90 or 75.

Argentea will go on a killing spree after (if not before) 2 years of age. I see the cichlids being taken out, and the pleco and raphael being ok.

You will see high signs of aggression before the fish being killed overnight so you have time to get the 90g and make the Argentea a wet pet in it.

Thanks rock the original plan was leave the 150 as is and eventually upgrade the 55 for the argentea. I just wanted to be able to show him off in the main tank. Have him in the living room instead of the basement

Lol was wondering where you've been craig.

Was thinking this could work because the argentea would outgrow the hrp and hets and not view them as competition ? Guess not

Yeah, I finally got healed up and back to work, don't have much "play time" any more. Going to look at your pics now and see your newer additions..

I'm w/ Rock.....I think the rest will be OK, but not the Argentea. Strong in The Dark Side this one is.......

You never can tell with cichlids as to what will work or wont. Argentea are on the more aggressive side and you might do okay with others that can hold their own. Possibilities might include bifa, fenestratus or some in the amphilophus family. It is tough to get these big territorial fish to get along... Ive tried and just went with the peaceful fish instead.

Your het would work with other less aggresive cichlids like bocourti, pearsei, regani, snook (though it would eat your small schoolers)

Argg basically what I thought. It would end up being the argentea and the pleco/cat alone in the main tank
