i concur with Ken... the topic simply ask "would you eat your own fish?"
for me...yes... and i've been doing that for so long...

we should not be carried out emotionally if we feel offended or slighted by the comments of others...

You wrote this, & didn't think it would start a serious debate? :

in my country, far north of Luzon, they prefer to raised dogs instead of lamb and goat for meat...
unfortunately, our legislators passed a law making it a crime butchering dog....

This is where it went off on a different tangent.

THOSE WHO REFUSE KNOWLEDGE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL.

WATER CHANGES ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS HOBBY. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE SO OR SIMPLY DON'T FEEL LIKE DOING THEM, RE-HOME YOUR FISH, SELL YOUR AQUARIUM & FIND ANOTHER HOBBY, AS YOU WILL FAIL UTTERLY, COMPLETELY, & MISERABLY.

Eating ANY animal/fish is not necessary IMHO. I am 43 years old and have not eaten any meat/fish since I was 7 years old. I stopped eating 95% of all meat at 5 years old and continued to eat only chicken and hotdogs for those two years. NO meat at all in 36+ years for me? Health? I am 5'11" and 246# fairly lean and bench 430# PED free for life. There are so many incredible tasting meat free foods that are so nutritious and healthy. I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian though for protein... meaning I eat cheese, milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. Just my opinion....
P.S>- I am the only vegetarian in my family but I have rubbed off on other family members.... many eat a lot of the same meals as me since they taste so good. B)

no offence but look in your mouth at your teeth, you have incisors for ripping, molars for grounding and chewing. We as a species are omnivorous. meaning we eat both meat and vegies or are meant to. The Fact that we could consume large quantities of protein allowed our brain to develop as it has. Now at this stage of availability of variety of food to consume we can pick and choose. and still meet the protein diet that we need.

other folks are not so lucky in 3rd world.

Me? I love a great steak and lobster dinner, sans vegies except a good backed potato!!
