Was wonderin what is the best food on the market for my Red Devil..are people feedin mostly Hikari and fresh chop???

Never had a Red Devil and not sure what exactly you mean by fresh chop (language problem), but I would think they should be fed in a similar way to Oscars. Some good pellets and all the live food that's good for Oscars as well, like insects, worms, crickets, shrimps, whatever. I'm personally not too fond of feeding mammal meat to fish if you mean that but many feed beef heart I believe. Wouldn't recommend anything else from mammals if at all and rather go for fish instead - if not feeders since those can pose a health risk, then maybe something like cod. I forgot what else is ok regarding fish, not every kind of freshwater or saltwater fish meat is good really afaik.

Hi, as metoo says, anything that good for an Oscar would be good for a Red Devil. Mine gets Hikari Bio-Gold plus on a daily basis, and every couple of days gets frozen food, be it beefheart, frozen cichlid dinner, frozen marine green, or a food I have made myself. This is basically what my Os get, except they only get frozen foods on water change day. They also take fresh fish and prawns etc readily.You can also feed crickets, cockroaches and just about any other insect providing it doesn't sting and hasn't been exposed to pesticide.

Oh and the Red Devil is from Central(North) America
