crickets.earthworms ect all stuuf that is rich in protein.

My Red Devil is a crazy fish. She goes through different "moods" where she will only eat pellets or flake or whatever. Mine completely ignores live food. Even though she can savagely attack larger tank mates. Sometimes she won't eat if you're looking at her and when you turn away she pounds the surface for food and gets right back to the center of the tank in case you turn back toward her. I'd say you ought to feed them just like most large cichlids. Just keep the diet varied and you're fish will do great.

I had a Red Devil for 6 years, it was the most violent fish
I have ever owned. Once it grew it killed most of its tank mates. Then I finally got him his own tank and a few years later he jumped to his death, real tragic story... Anyway my Red Devil would eat anything I put in the tank including my fingers

75 gal tank w/ 5 O\'s 2 Albino, 1 Tiger, 1 Red, 1 Lemon. All Juveniles. Building (1) 150 gal tank soon to be ready for spring. Hope to get a breeding pair out of the 5 I have.
