Just getting some opinions, i've set up my old 29 gallon for my male betta! What kind of other fish can i put in with him? Please help me out with all sorts of different kinds will get along, and can i put in a female betta or will they fight?

I know hardly anything about bettas. I used to have one in a community tank a few years ago. What i do know it that 2 males will fight to the death, a male and a female will be good together, they may even breed

As far as tank mates you want fish that dont nip fins

Thanks, i went last night and got a start. I picked up 5 zebra danios, 2 cardinal tetras (All they had), 2 ghost shrimp, 2 corydoras, and some live plants. Im wanting a few more shrimp, cardinals, and corys. Ill make sure to post a picture when its complete.

A male and a female rarely can live together, the male would most likely kill the female. It is very rare to get a pair that can live together.

absolutely wrong a male betta can live with any female provided the space is enough I even have a 50gal pond with 4 male bettas living together, each of them occupying a corner of the pond they fight always, but the underdog usually runs
