Be careful with corydoras catfish in with an oscar. My dad told me that when he moved over from a community tank to an oscar tank he let the fish in the community tank just die out then he put an oscar in. The last 2 fish where corydorus cats. The oscar was fine with them but one day he came home and found the catfish stuck in the oscars mouth( the o had grown from when 1st put it). The oscar was swimming around for 2 days with his mouth open and the cat stuck in its mouth with its spines sticking thru the edge of the o's mouth. My dad had to get the o out and remove the cat himself. The other corydorus in the tank was swiftly removed. The oscar survived but i wonder if removing the second corysorus was neccesary. I reckon the o would have learnt his lesson

Thats a good point. As of now, my two Oscars have not chased the Corys who swim and scavenge right around the oscars noses some times. Today it was funny because I did a 33% water change and the 2 Oscars were only interested in bonding afterwards, again favoring a clean spot of glass on the bottom and rubbing it etc. Still too young to lay and fertilize eggs but no doubt whatsoever these two are totally compatible in that regard. Water changes it seems really puts them in the mood to mate...

Okay, I might just do that. I however know nothing about tropical marine so I wouldn't be any help to anyone. What I don't want to do is add a section where people ask questions and don't get answers, that isn't good for the website.

I am very aware of our members and how much they contribute to the website. If you stick around for a while and become a regular member, then I will certainly consider you for a moderator in the marine section, if we add it

Glad to hear it. I'm happy to see that we are gaining more members by the day (4 today). Since we have only been running since December, I am quite happy with the way things are going.
