I can't believe it. I bought some feeders from a safe dealer and placed them in with my goldfish so I could feed Oscar one a week. WELL...three hours later, I checked up on them and I could have sworn I could only see three out of the ten I bought. I thought nah...BUT YES!!! When I checked on them tonight, there were NONE left. I pulled apart the floor space, behind the tank, everywhere possible. But nothing. Then I looked at my goldfish. The fat pig had somehow eaten all of them??? I didn't believe it, I still don't but it's true. I did not think that goldfish would eat other fish? Especially not ten. So now I'm worried that he might die from overeating. But what can I do?? I tried catching him in a net, that usually makes him spit out his food. But nothing? Does anyone else know of goldfish doing this? If so, please let me know.

Never heard of it myself either. But i am guessing that goldfish would eat something that it can fit in its mouth easily. Only way to know for sure is to try it again. Put a couple of fish same size as before in with the goldfish and watch for a couple hours

Goldfish are carp! They will eat anything, dead or alive. I used to feed minnows to my clawed frog that kept with two 8" goldfish. The frog would usually get ten out of fifty. These guys have also pooed out pieces of artificial plants. Nowadays I keep the goldfish out in the pond, which is exactly where they belong.
