Not really sure about how long she will take to give birth but I do know you need to take the fry out of the tank straightaway or they may get eaten.

Young female platies on their first batch of babies will usally have between 10 and 20 babies. Platies will have babies about every 4-6 weeks.

yeah need to take out babies and place in a separate tank unless you have much plants where they can hide but still it hinders their fast growth. platys usually give birth to 20-30 babies, depending on the kind. I got jumbo platys before with 50-80 babies in a single birthing which takes about a day.

well 1st of all i would get all the babys and either put them in a seperate tank away from anything else or you can get a breeding trap and put it in your main tank with the female and wen she gives birth the babys can go underbeath her away from danger threats, another thing that i found that works is to put a artificial plant (only a small 1) or a real 1 in the trap just to make the female platy think everything is ok, then next thing you should do id go to your retailer and get some brine shrimp feed them this regular and watch them grow!!!

congrats on the fry
