you dont need a 4 ft tank. it deopends how many fish you wnt ect.
my lfs is seeling full set ups in a foot and haklf cube tank with coral and all the stuff so tank size dont matter much

size of the tank doesnt matter it all depends how much money y r going to spend.

in my personal opinion i would go big because all the equipment is so expensive i would rather get evrything once and not worry about setting up again at a later stage due to my tank being to small.

the longer a marine tank runs the beter it gets and if yr setup is right there will be a time that the tank semi-start maintaining itself so u want try and not desturb yr as much as possible.

It is true that LFS sell small marine tanks. The problem with these is that you can run into trouble in the summer when it gets hot (small volumes of water increase in temperature very quick). A friend of mine had a small tank and he had loads of trouble with it in the summer. Also it is easier to maintain the correct levels of everything in a big tank. All marine enthusiasts will tell you a decent size tank is essential

thanks for all your great advice guys im gona go for a 4ft tank and take my time and like some of you have said read up on it all but it just seems to make more sense to me when its a person giveing advice the books seem so complacated well to me any way i supose il get my head round it some way or other but any more advice wont go a miss pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeees thank you julie
