welcome to oscarfishlover

how old are your Oscars? You normally read the Oscars sexually mature at about one year old. I actually think this is a little early. From my experience, Oscars will become sexually mature from 16 months onwards, my Oscars are around 18 months old and have just become sexually mature. I bought seven Oscars in the March they were probably around two to three months old then, said in the last three weeks, two sets in two different tanks have started showing signs of sexual maturity as in female Oscars in both of the tanks laying eggs, although they didn't hatch.

If your Oscars are growing properly then I think you've got a fairly long wait

approximately 5 to six months. That is a very rough guess, Oscar is normally grow around a 1 inch per month for the first year of their life. As enough of us will know, the growth rates can be very different in individual fish.
