Re:New Eggs 1 Year ago
great to see that you have some more wrigglers. It is a pain when the pair continually eat the eggs. Some years ago i designed and made an egg protector to stop oscars eating there eggs.I had quite a lot of success with it. The making and using of it is featured on my breeding oscars dvd. I will try to get a clip form the dvd and post it on you tube but cant promise as i am really busy at the moment. But it really worked well and i was able to get avid egg eaters to look after their fry.

And the saga continues, excellent! I'm looking forward to when my Oscars start breeding. They have now broken into two groups of three. It's nice to see them shovelling sand and cleaning the rock. Hopefully it well progress into egg laying. Anyway, good luck for these new eggs, look forward to the photos. You've got quite a following I think.

Here is a quick picture update for the new wigglers. It is just a few of them that were grouped together.

Well, I just did a rough count and it look like I have about 60 strong wigglers. I have been trying to get them isolated in a breeder box I had from when I was breeding livebearers. It makes it much easier for me to feed them till they get a little larger. As the see them on the bottom, I have been moving them to the box. It's hard to get a good count becasue they are moving around so much.

Nemo is doing good. Today he got his first try at live bloodworms. He eats them right up. He still will not touch anything thats not alive.

Sorry, I missed where you asked the parents name, I never named them.

It is so nice to have a little following here. Maybe my posts and pictures will help someone out someday.

I have been learning so much going through this, and every time I get a set of eggs I get so excited.
