It looks like there could be a hundred or so. it is really hard to tell, the parents have moved them into a pit they dug, so they are all kind of bunched up. I am really suprised they are still alive and haven't been eaten. The parents seem to be doing a much better job this time. Now thay they have them in the pit, they will leave the wigglers from time to time, and come back and fin them a bit. It will be nice to see if they make it to free swimming and don't get eaten.

As far as Nemos color, I'm really not sure, he was looking like he was going to be a tiger, but now his is starting to look more like an albino tiger. I guess it is still really too soon to tell.

They fry that hatched on Sept 29th are also still doing good. They are all eating well and growing. There is still that one that is much smaller than the rest, but he is eating.

Looks like your Oscars have cracked the parenting lark. I would think that if they have got to this stage then they will be ok. There is no better sight than that of hundreds of fry swimming around the parents. Get a tank ready for the fry though as the parents may start to spawn again with the fry swimming round them. Look forward to some pics of the fry swimming round the parents.

So if they begning to spawn again, I need to get the fry out? Will the parents not be after them until then?

If your fish are on a 11-14 day spawning cycle
they should be alright for a few days after they become free swimming. They may then see the fry as a threat to the new eggs and eat them. I have had a set of eggs in the tank whilst the parents were looking after the fry but decided to move them before the eggs hatched so as not to risk them eating them.

Nemo has been moved into a new tank. He is now in a 20 gallon, and will be moved again in the next few weeks. He is about 1 inch link now, and growing fast. I will try to get more pics of him tomorrow.

The fry that were born on Sept 29th are still doing good. Eatinf alot and growing fast. I would have to say there are about 50 of them.

The new wigglers that I decided to leave with the parents are doing great. Today they started to swim freely about the tank. The partents are doing a great job at taking care of them. When ever they get to somewhere in the tank that they don't want them, they suck them up and move them and then spit them out. There has to be about a 100 of them, but it is hard to tell since they are spreat out in a 75 gallon tank. I will try to get a video of them tomorrow.
