Tomorrow is my day that is set aside for major cleanings, so I will try to get some more pics. Everyone is doing good. I am going to head over to my local shop in the morning to remind the owner about my red oscars for Nemo. I may have to have him order some larger ones because Nemo is growing so fast, I don't want him to bully a bunch of little ones. I just hope he pairs up with one of them, and then in a few monts have another breeding pair.
I thought I had a major problem with Nemos new tank. I did get the tank and filter used, and it looked like the tank was leaking from the seals, but as I was trying to find the source of the leak, I discovered it was coming from the top of the tank, and when I finally found it, I found a small crack in the filter. Since it is just a HOB Emperor 280, and hot a pressure canister, I don't think it will be a problem to just seal it with a little silicone.
Nemo still appears to be an albino tiger, so I guess thats what he is. He also seems to be getting a bit of green in his color. You can see it a bit in the last pics I posted.
Now that the babies from sept 29th are a little larger, I did find one that seems to have been born with only one eye. He is one of the larger ones of the group, so I know he is able to find his food, so I think I will move him to a tank of his own just incase it gets infected, and I don't want to spread it to the rest of the tank, but I see no reason to kill him since he still seems to be doing good.
Nemo and the babies are all doing good on flake and pellets now. Tomorrow, I am going to try the babies on a little live bloodworms, to see if they can eat them yet.
It's funny, I was looking back at this thread, and seeing people telling me not to expect to much from Nemo since he was the only one out of all the eggs that survived. Now he is a better looking baby oscar than I see in almost every petshop I go to. I guess he was was just meant to survive.
The parents spawned another set of eggs tonight. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to remove them yet or not. I've been so bussy lately, I'm not sure if I'll have the time to set up another tank for them. I may just give the parents another chance at raising them, and just snatch them out if any of them hatch.
