ive heard people say that crayfish do not mix well with oscars. i have a crayfish living peacefully with my 5month old oscar..the first few days when introducing the crayfish into the tank may cause the oscar to disturb the crayfish so make sure u provide a hiding plc fot it (small pot or a mini DIY cave), usually after the 3rd day the oscar should be familiar with the new tankmate and it would leave it alone...but do keep in mind that oscars hav different personalities and your oscar may not be as "friendly" as mine. try putting the crayfish in when its dark and keep a close watch as the oscar is a curious fish...the first few days mayb a bit rough (expect few fin nips by the crayfish!) for both of them but after awhile they should settle and mind their own business..if not then u need to separate them.
Bare in mind this only works with crayfish that are larger than the oscars mouth! Good luck!

I would advise against clams and muscles. Oscar will eat these given a chance or they may get injured trying
As for crayfish, again these are fraught with difficulty. Firstly your oscar may try to eat them, they may not succeed but your crayfish may get injured or even die from the oscar trying
The other problem is the crayfish may take nips out of your oscar. Overall its a bit of a gamble that i personally dont think is worth the risk. If you do go for it i would recommend very close observation of the oscars and crayfishes behaviour and to also have somewhere else to rehouse one if things go wrong

I wouldn't go with clams, Oscars are just to inquisitive and would probably try to eat them.
As for the crayfish, I wouldn't try to keep one as a pet. I get crayfish for my Oscars about once a month for treats, they are usually small crayfish and I remove the claws, but they only last seconds in the tank. Given the chance though, the crayfish will nip at the fins of your Oscar, specially at night while your Oscar is resting, the crayfish will is nocturnal and will terrorize the Oscar during the night.

I introduced my crayfish at the same time as my oscars. My oscars are about an inch long. When i first put them in the oscars swam to him to check him out. He kinda nipped at them. I havent seen them go near him since. i would advice giving plenty of places to hide for the crayfish. I would say you should be fine

Oscars and crayfish are both avid predetors and miixing these two together as mentioned before would be a gamble.
Crayfish are fish eaters and oscars are crayfish eaters and migh or might not work depending on so many differnt circumbstances. Your best bet is to keep them apart. But I have seen it work very well. You could try it just keep a good eye on both of them. Let the crayfish settle in using a divider to keep them apart so the crayfish get's used to it's surroundings. Then you can remove the divider and see how it goes. Watch them carefully and if it dosen't go well seperate them.
