Arrowana & Clown Knife 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I have a 12" albino oscar and an 11 red tiger along with a 10" Tiger Barb and a plecostomus. How would an Arrowana and a Clown Knife be in this tank and what size would they have to be.

i had a clown knife with my oscars and severums there very nice fish and it would need to be in the 12 inch range proly as long as it wont fit in there mouths and there mouths are bigger than they look an arowana needs alot of room to be able to turn around and move wich brings me to how big is your tank and what kind of filtration do you have

Are you asking how big the arrowana and knife need to be? A minimum of 4 inches, anything smaller and the Oscars will probably try and eat them. I have had success in introducing smaller fish but it's not something I would advise of the people to do.

Having said this, all of those fish you have mentions will need a very big tank.

The oscars are now in a 90 gallon tank, but I also have a 180 gallon tank. The tank has 2 Emperor 400 filters and 1 Filstar XP3 canister and an undergravel filter with 3 penguin powerheads and an AquaStep Ultraviolet Sterilizer. And yes, I was wondering how big the arrowana and clown knife needed to be.

arrowana are really only suitable for commercial aquariums. There are a few people do can house them but there are not many people who have got tanks big enough to house these big Fish. Check this amazing clip from a program that was screened on British television a couple of years ago. This is actually filmed in the rainy season when the Brazilian rain forest completely floods. Many fish including Oscars will feed and lived amongst all the trees picking off insects that end up in the water.
