I just walked into petco a while ago and there was a guy complaining that the $35 dollar threaded bamboo plant he bought had died in his aquarium(submerged underwater). One more reason why I despise that place.

A freakin' clever but sneaky way to earn money though. Some peopel come back, think they did something wrong, buy another and so on. I see them most often in beetta and goldfish bowl(which, in my opinion are fish that shouldn't always be housed in bowls for that matter).
