CAN ANY1 TELL ME IF PLECOS ARE GOOD TANKMATES FOR OSCARS?????
ive got 2 plecs in my 70g tank with 2 oscars , 2 clown loaches and 1 c,a,e, the thing is is it ok for me to leave the 2 plecs in with the rest of the fish, last night i had to take the chinese algae eater out of mt tank because he wass going for my oscars ,my o's are very small, infact there not even 4 inches and ive been told b4 that c,a,e can tare the skin of other fishes when fighting????? is this true?????
because i noticed that the c,a,e, was going up against the smallest o and they really going for it , so i intervened without damage to either fishes, now let me get bk to the plec,
i think the plecs that i got are common plecs i got a pic i will give you a link now , i will show you both fish the plecs and the loach the loach is very big so thats why i took him out b4 anything bad did happen,
this is the chinese algae eater

and this is the plec , can any1 tell me exactly what pleco it is plz???

but theres just 1 more thing when i took the c,a,e out i had no -where to put it so i put it in my spare tank which is 2 ft it has got an under-gravel filter system, with a fluval2+, will the c,a,e be ok with 2 very small goldfish,
and no heater, thanks for reading this

1 more thing is that the plecs can grow to a monsterous size so how long will it be before i have to re-home the biggest ,they seem happy enough but i dont want 1 of my oscars getting hurt by it when it is alot bigger than the oscar

cheers ashley

i have 1 plec in the tank w/ my 2 big o's, he never bothers them, if he is sucking on the glass the o may come by & check him out but thats about it

i had a c,a,e in one of my other tanks, he stayed in one place almost all the time, he did mess w/ my gouramis when i had them in there but he would not mess with any of the smaller fish

i used to have a pleco as a tankmate for my o's and never had any trouble. the only reason i rehomed him was because it got to the point where he was creating more waste than he was cleaning(it almost seemed that he was producing more waste than the amount of food he was eating). at the time my o's were in a 90 gal and i could no longer keep up with the bio load in that tank.

strangely enough i just introduced a c.a.e.(about 4&quot into my o tank yesterday to pick up the algea duty in there.
