One reason why plecs are unsuitable 1 Year, 3 Months ago  
Many of the pleco you find in your fish stores can reach this size. Even if they don't reach this size, they will still be too big for the average aquarium so think very carefully before purchasing one.

Hey, that will fit in my 20 gallon tank along with a few silver dollars, an Oscar, two parrot fish, an arowana, 6 tetras, 18 danios and 4 ounces of water won't it????

I wonder if the guy is keeping it as a pet, or it's for his dinner table?
