A little bit gutted at the moment, decided to move the G.N Plec into the large tank this evening. Lifted up the piece of wood that on the 20 gallon tank because that's where he was hiding and there he was, stone dead. Not sure why he died, nothing wrong with the water and all the other fish are perfectly okay. That's a very expensive fish and I'm none too pleased. Oh well, have to look around for something else
That's a shame about your gn you are right though there are three different types they are L177, L18 (large spots), and L81 (small spots. They are difficult to acclimate because it is difficult to get them to eat. I just picked up an L81 this past weekend, don't know how I'm going to make out with him but so far so good.
Another Plec that is in the same size range and a pretty fish in his own rite is an L200 Lemon spotted Green Pleco. They are hearty and easier to acclimate. Don't know if this fish would be available where you are located. I've been looking for one here in the States for a while now with no luck.
