I am planning on a 350 gallon tank. Which will be 108 x 30 x 30 or in feet, 9' x 2.5' x 2.5' The tank will actually be an Amazon tank that will contain fish that only come from the Amazon area of South America. As of yet, I haven't decided exactly which area to concentrate on.
Watch this space, it might take a while but hopefully it will come to fruition within the year

wow that is going to be one big tank.
you having to have that made just for you as the biggest i have seen in the shops is 6 ft.

Yes, I have only seen tanks up to around 125 gallons which is the same size of mine. I don't suppose there is much call for them, even my tank holds over one ton of water. My new one will have over 3 tonnes, that would fall through most peoples floors if they weren't solid concrete, which my garage is.

WWOOHOOO!!! THREE TONS OF WATER!!!! I can't even envision that.
THe tank I'm getting tomorrow (delivered) is a 125 gallon. Will be in my bedroom. LOTS of running space for my single oscar. (And yes that's all I want is just one fish).
Good luck with that and please let me know when you get it!! What do you plan to stock in such an ocean of space??

Is your garage heated? If not how is your climate? Because 350 Gallons of water will take quite a bit of heating effort and if your ambient temperature is significantly lower then the aquarium's desired temperature, you will need at least the recommended 5 watts of heating per gallon if not more. That would make a substantial impact on your home electric bill I would think. But it sounds absolutely grand! With that much weight coming I would want to make sure that concrete slab is not a thin slab at that. That would make a terrific Discus tank for sure. We'll need to see pics of course.... Actually, there has been a change of plan. My 350 gallon tank is going to be 300 gallons now. Instead of 9 feet, it is going to be 8 feet. Having said that, I am having a sump filter that will be around 60 gallons so I suppose the total volume of water will be around 350 - 360 gallons. I also can't bear to part with my two big Clown Loach so isn't going to be exclusively an Amazon tank.
It's going to be pretty good wherever, really looking forward to it
