I converted my garage into a computer/radio/aquarium room. Even though the garage floor is concrete, I needed insulation which is why I have had to reinforce it with concrete.
Will be ordering the tank in a few days time.

No need for the extra bed, but thanks for the offer. My Wife keeps reminding me of the garden shed out back of the house and how it could be ideal for me and the dog. (Little doe's she know how much a guy might actually enjoy that sanctuary right?)
Penn, are you building this aquarium yourself? Or are you having it built for you? Or is someone just supplying the glass cut to size? How thick will the glass be, 1/2"? Will you have holes in the bottom for overflows? I'd like to see photos as you build it.
I just look forward to the day when I can upgrade to a 6 foot long 125 gallon tank, maybe in a year or so with some luck. I just don't have the place for it, at least not a great place. That would definitely need to go on the first floor of the house.

Well, the offer is there if you want it
Concrete is in now, just hope it is level
No, I am not building it, there is a company in Newcastle that built tanks to your requirements. They also doing the Cabinet for me. I am having a 75 - 80 gallon sump filter built into it as well. As well as that, I will be running one of my existing canister filters on it. So all in all, it should be a pretty good setup when it is finished. I am going to attempt to put plants in it. After all, the Oscars are not too big. I have a plant in my existing tank at the moment and they don't touch that at all
Don't worry, I should be posting photos as I go along

Actually, that's probably a tad smaller than the one I'm getting. Remember that 300 UK gallons will be slightly bigger than 300 US gallons. However, it gives you an idea. It would have been better if somebody was standing next to it

I know it wasn't much to look at, but I made you look!
You are 100% correct, that photo needs something in it to show scale.
It says 300 Gallon but you can't tell by looking at the photo because there is nothing to compare it to in there.
(Just got back from the pet store, brought home 8 live crickets for my Oscar's dinner and brought home 10 Zebra Danios to help cycle the new tank. Those will become breakfast, lunch and dinner once the two Oscars get home. Man these guys grow quickly and the Male especially is getting to look like a "lunker"
