I think I'll have fun going around the shops looking for the perfect tank mates. We have got three half decent tropical fish shop is in the 10 mile radius with others a little further away. I'm sure I can find something

I love going around in shops finding decent tank-mates for my fish. However most of my larger fish were adopted from some other fishkeepers, one of them who thought a trio of oscars, a pair of JD's, and a sailfin pleco would go well in a 20 gallon...He's doing tetras now.

Well, the tank is being delivered on Saturday. Problem is, the bloke who owns the company that I have got it from says I need six people here to help lift it off the trailer. How heavy is this tank? Christ, what have I got myself into

This tank sounds great. When I eventually move out, I will have to try to get somewhere where I definantly have the concrete in so I can go ahead. I can't wait to see lots of pics of yours!

Could you support a tank that big using the concrete in a basement? I know a guy who set up a 800 gallon tank in his basement, he has about 4 or 5 adult oscars in there i think.

Six strong men to carry the tank? Isn't that the same amount you need to carry a tomb? Penn, this isn't good!

Don't forget that it's 8 foot long and 30 inches wide, even though its bloody heavy, the size of it displaces the weight really well. It's when you've got a very small area with lots of heavyweight, that's when it can do a lot of damage to the floor.
