Blimey, that is one monster of a tank. I think you are going to need one heck of a lot of filtration, and I dread to think what sort of heating you will need.
I have to say that it sounds like a very ambitious project. Believe me, when you see the 300 gallon tank I've got here, something over four times larger is something I couldn't possibly imagine having in my house. It's a sort of thing you'd find in a commercial aquarium. I'm not saying you won't manage it, anything is possible if you really want it. Have you thought how much it's going to cost to run this sort of thing? You could be looking at around 5000 W of heating. The pump I am going to be using is 50 W, you're probably looking at over 1000 Watts of electricity to run the pumps on a tank that size. Then you've got the lighting. I reckon you'd be looking at over 1000 Watts there. So, it could be between seven and 10,000 Watts almost continuously. I would hate to see your electricity bill at the end of the year
