Tail bite!!! 2 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Hi, One of my cichlids has had a section of its tail bitten by one of the the others.
The fish is fine and eats well.
Will the tail grow back to its former glory or is it scarred for life????

as long as the damage hasn't affected the roots, it should regenerate quite well. If you think about it, fins are extremely important and also extremely delicate. I've found that it is just the membrane damage, they recover very well. Fin rot can however damage fins permanently
