im surprised that you still have an ammonia problem with all that filtration although i dont think i would just have bio balls as the only media. When i first started breeding Oscars i had two pairs each in a 36 gallon tank. Each tank was filtered by a single 405. If i were you i would put a sponge in the top of the fluvals you might fins that keeps your ammonia down

It's bio max that i have in and all have foam for filtering out the large particals,i would'nt expect ammonia either as theres ony fish in there no plants,fed every other day but you thing i shud put some foam in the top what type any or a specific kind?

Any filter foam will do im sure that there is probably a foam block especially made for your filter. Ket me know how you get on
