Re:My Oscar will not eat 1 Month, 1 Week ago
This has been a problem with me with all of my Oscars
They are very fussy eaters!!
None of them will even look at pellets anymore!
They have seem to have taken to Cichlid sticks
But none of them have ever turned down Krill
or as my wife calls Krill...stinky fish food
They also enjoy cold cuts every once in a while!
My youngest one loves ham!
My 2 year old Oscar has gone a week already without touching
food and is just fine so I wouldn't be too concerned if your water tests good
I'm no expert it's just my opinion

Re:My Oscar will not eat 1 Month, 1 Week ago
I have 3 Oscars that have 3 different personalities
One of my Oscars does the same thing...
most of the time he hides in his log whenever anyone walks by
he is the most finicky of eaters
sometimes he comes to the top when I walk by if hes hungry
but sometimes I will put a krill in the water and walk away
and he will come to the top to get it
but I always make sure he eats it within a couple hours
or I will get the krill out of the water.
If you get the krill or cichlid sticks let me know
if tantrum eats them
Good luck to you and I think your fish will be just fine

Hey I sure will let you know and I'll get both and also I may get another small Oscar for Tyke if its a thing with Tantrum that doesn't like having a smaller companion with he/she... I will keep you posted and let you know and hey do you know if anyone has a cheap used filter? I need it for my 30gallon I have a 200gallon filter for my 120 which does the job very well and its a Bio Filter a Penguin which is to me the best out there... If you know that be great and I
will let you know about if Tantrum its eat the Krill or Sticks

Re:My Oscar will not eat 1 Month, 1 Week ago
Tantrum is still not eating! I am kinda worried even though I read on here it may take a few days for Tantrum to eat while in a new tank setting and all. Tyke is in the tank too with Tantrum and they like to stay next to each other but other than that nothing is working really. I've tried some frozen Krill cubes and nothing really happened and Tyke hasn't eaten too I've checked the whole tank water, temp and all that good stuff for them to keep going and living well...

Dang sorry to hear that
but I really wouldn't worry yet
if your water is good I think it is just a matter of time
like I said before my 1 oscar has gone a week without eating
for no reason at all
and that was in March...he is doing just fine today
be optimistic...I think tantrum will be just fine
