I'd also recommend doing a 40% water change the day before you go away. I don't know how big your tank is,but if you are away for two weeks, I would suggest feeding very sparingly, you don't want your nitrates soaring by the time you get back

I agree an auto-feeder is the best idea if you can't get someone to feed them for you. They range in price some are very inexpensive and should last a few years and many vacations. It is actually a good thing to have on hand,

Oh yea, along with the water change I would change the filter media and clean the filters. Maybe add some biological media if you have the space. 2 weeks is a prettu decent time period,

If you use those auto feeders then test it first(not on the tank) to make sure you have got it adjusted and working right
I would also feed them half of what you normally do(should be what they will eat in 2 or 3 mins) otherwise your nitrates might go too high
If you get someone to pop round and feed your fish (twice a week will do but everyday is best) then measure each days food out in a separate pot and hide all the other food. I went away for the weekend and left the food measured out and when i got back my girlfriend said she had put more food in on one day (i was only gone for 3) as 'one fish ate most of it'. This is despite all the times i have gone on about nitrate levels and that feeding too much is bad. Aaaarrghh
