It will depend on the oscar. This can be as little as a few wks or as long as it takes for the fish to feel like it again, and can be months. My pair have just relayed after about 8 months. None of my eggs seem to last more than 24 hours before they eat them. I have herd that if you have a plec in the tank there will be little chance of success. I think my problem is clown loach as these keep hanging around picking the odd egg off. So for success I would say just have 2 oscars in the tank. But now maybe someone will prove me wrong??? Any one had success with this mix of fish??
