Okay, what i really don't get is peircing fish. Why in the world would you want an oscar with a nose ring or an ear ring??? It's just crazy! I was doing some research and apparently it's like cutting a hole in your ear or nose TWO INCHES in diameter and hanging a peice of metal from it.

I think I'm going to protest.

For the life of me, I don't know why anyone would want something that looks different from what it should do. I want an Oscar to look like an Oscar, not a punk rocker. Unfortunately, as long as people keep buying these things, they all keep selling them. Hey, just had a thought, since a couple of you guys seem quite upset about this whole disgusting practice, how about starting a new website that is dedicated entirely to trying to ban these horrible practices. Now we will actually get it banned, but we can certainly make a huge point about. I'm more than happy to get the domain, If we can get a few people on board, I will surely do something. Haven't checked to see if there is anything already out there. They want to tread on anyone's toes. Having said that, the more there are, the more weight we will carry. If you're interested, let's chuck a few ideas about what a good domain name would be. And maybe the name for the site.

Maybe we could have a forum, or something where people could join the protest against unessasary cruelty to fish.

I've spent SO much time researching this, and the more i read, the sicker i get. I've written several articles on the topic, one of which is in the members articles section.

If we make a site just about tatooed fish, it could be notattofish, or tattofish as delboybully suggested- but we could expand it to being about all the cruelties to fish.

artemis1, that sounds good but it could include all sorts of cruelty to fish which we wouldnt be looking into. An example could be barbs on fishing hooks could come under that site. I think the name needs to be general but also quite specific about tattoo,dyed and pierced fish. I am stumped on a good name!
