Great Site

12/12/2007  Hello everyone.... My Oscar is named "Jack-Jack-Heart-Attack".  .My husband brought him  home after "Wally", my  goldfish died after 41/2years . "Jack" was an only child till recently. I first brought home a  9" tiger pleco  about the same size as Jack.  We named him "S.O.B" cuz somehow  the two of them  cracked a 55gl tank  and flooded the house. THANK GOD I WAS HOME!!  A week later I got two 4"goldfish. I waited a week before nameing them "Six-Of-Ten" and "Zero".  Well, "Jack" bit off "Zero's" head  the next morning... If not for sites like this I wouldnt have known how to take care of "Jack" or how smart Oscars are. "Jack" has his own personallity, and spits out whatever he does not care for in his tank."Jack" also does what we call "The Happy Dance", for food..its sooo funny to watch...Its been a month now and they are all very happy, crazy fish......Do you name your fish or am I the only one????

Thanks
I am so glad I found this website.  I actually just purchased my 2 baby oscars 4 days ago.  I've never really had fish.  I saw how big they get at the pet store, and I thought it was kind of exciting, but the problem was, I didn't know as much as I probably should have known about fish.  So I found your website and read through almost all of it.  I was kind of nervous at first, because I didn't realize all the work that it was going to take.  But as I read, I started understanding so much more about these fish, and I'm excited.  While I probably wasn't the right person to purchase these type of fish, I feel a lot more comfortable about them now.  I know that if I have any questions, where I can go to read up more about them.  I've already grown quite attached them, and I'm excited to watch them grow.  Thanks for all the information!  I'm sure you have helped a LOT of people.  Although I would recommend that they come here first and read about them before they purchase one.  A lot of people wouldn't have the patience for them, and it's sad because those are the ones that end up needing a good home later on.  But anyway, thank you!
